VISION

GLENN COUNTY

GENERAL PLAN

2007 - 2027

Services & Facilities

There is a good level of public and commercial services accessible to all the population at an affordable cost.  New growth pays its own way in meeting the increased demand for a higher level of public infrastructure and services through the use of development impact fees and public service assessments.  Public safety is adequately provided by law enforcement, fire protection and medical services to meet the new growth and the aging population.  Education is still a top service provided to all residents. The quality of education remains high.  County and special district supplied services are upgraded to meet the demand generated by new development.  As population grows, more comprehensive health services are available in the county.  Fewer medically related trips out-of-county are necessary.  Consolidation of service delivery occurs over time, in response to growth demands.  Recreational opportunities are available to all age groups and abilities through a well-coordinated system of parks and recreation facilities.  Social services provide for the needs of those residents with special service needs.
